The largest project that the Sandown Garden Club took on was the creation of the certified Monarch Waystation and Pollinator Garden in front of Sandown's Town Hall on Main Street in 2016. This project was completely funded by the club through donations and proceeds from their annual plant sale. The garden is a "teaching garden" designed to educate the public about the importance of pollinators and the unique story of the Monarch butterfly through educational signage and brochures that are available at the site. Twenty-five specific plants that provide pollen and nectar for the monarch butterfly are labeled within the garden. All members of the Sandown Garden Club participated in this project and continue to maintain this garden as well as those that border the entrance to the Town Hall building.
