Annual plant sale

Fundraising Event

Looking for Perennials

Fundraising Event

Each year the Sandown Garden Club holds its only fund raising event: the Plant Sale in June. Proceeds from this sale are used to fund educational programs offered at the monthly meetings and to maintain the club's gardens at the Monarch Waystation and at the Town Hall .

Looking for Perennials

Looking for Perennials

Looking for Perennials

We perform "plant digs" from gardens of local residents who might like to thin out their perennials or remove them from their gardens altogether. If you would like us to "dig" from your garden, contact us at 887-5131.

Our Plant Sources

Looking for Perennials

Members donate plants from their own gardens. The club provides the soil and pots. In addition, we perform "plant digs" from gardens of local residents who might like to thin out their perennials or remove them from their gardens altogether. If you would like us to "dig" from your garden, contact us at 887-5131.

It Takes Teamwork

Organic Herbs and Vegetables

Organic Herbs and Vegetables

All our members participate in our sale by digging and  potting plants from their  gardens or from gardens around the area. They bring the potted plants and set them up at the sale location. They keep the plants watered and healthy until they are sold. On plant sale days, members assist with plant selections and  questions.

The plant sale frequently also features a wide selection of organic herbs and vegetables from a local New Hampshire farm.

Hundreds of Plants

Buyers can pick from hundreds of perennials and gain valuable advice from knowledgeable club members.

Pot Recycling

Hundreds of Plants

A few weeks after the plant sale, SGC collects used plant pots to recycle for the following year's sale. We have a pot collection weekend so that the community may donate their used pots, which we then clean and store.

Annual BBQ

Annual BBQ

After the plant sale members look forward to their annual BBQ in a member's garden to celebrate the great success of the sale.
